What You Will Do

Primarily responsible for stewardship communications including custom stewardhship reports, presentations, acknowledgments and other related communications.

  • In collaboration with colleagues across Institutional Relations & Development and with physicians and other departments within University Hospitals, create custom stewardship reports for principal-level donors and UH's most generous supporters.

  • Advanced level of writing, designing and editing print and electronic communications, including impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding verbal communications skills.
  • Write and edit stewardship and donor relations communications including acknowledgement letters, condolences, nominations, congratulations and other correspondence.
  • Provide editing and proofreading services for development colleagues.
  • Manage and contribute to additional development and campaign communications projects as assigned.
  • Provide project management of stewardship materials working with designers, printers, photographers and other outside vendors as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Manager, Stewardship Operations on coordinating all stewardship efforts.
  • Manage additional special projects in collaboration with development communications as needed.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
