Scale Attendant

LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for aScale Attendantto join the team at our location inAberdeen, WA.

The schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday; 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay will be $19.50 per hour with yearly pay raises.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Solicit sale of new or additional services.

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashier

• Responsible for balancing out a cash drawer and reconciling a Credit Card Machine.

• Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Work on your feet outside throughout your shift

• Providing general upkeep of the Scale House.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.

• Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

• 2 years of Customer Service experience.

• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Emailpreferred. Typing and 10-key skills are required.

• Excellent organization and communication skills.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems. Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
