SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing a broad range of professional HR Generalist support across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, HR operations, onboarding, compliance, HRIS data integrity, reporting, and support for recruitment activities as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

HR Generalist Responsibilities



  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, programs, and workplace questions.
  • Support employee relations matters by gathering information, maintaining documentation, escalating issues appropriately, and assisting with follow-up actions.
  • Assist managers with performance management processes, corrective action documentation, coaching resources, and employee development conversations.
  • Administer and support HR programs including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, job changes, transfers, promotions, and status updates.
  • Enter, maintain, and audit employee data, including personnel information, employment changes, benefits-related updates, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in UKG Pro and other HR systems; ensure data integrity, timely updates, and confidential handling of employee information.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, employment practices, required documentation, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, maintain I-9 files, and support related compliance audits.
  • Use UKG and other sources as needed to gather information, create reports, update dashboards, and track key HR metrics.
  • Assist employees with accessing and utilizing UltiPro/UKG Pro and other HR tools as needed.
  • Support policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, HR communications, and consistent application of workplace practices.
  • Maintain HR files, records, and documentation in accordance with company retention practices and confidentiality requirements.
  • Coordinate employee communications, recognition activities, engagement initiatives, training logistics, and HR process improvements.
  • Perform other HR Generalist duties or projects as assigned.


Recruiting Responsibilities



  • Support recruiting activities as needed, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, background checks, and new hire setup.
  • Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Manage PTI's intern program, including identification of positions available, coordination of intern activities, and celebration of intern project completion.
  • Coordinate drug screens, background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment or employment-related processes.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR functions; manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, HR compliance, onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, leaves, and performance management practices.
  • Experience with UKG Pro or similar HRIS/HCM system preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on employee and manager requests.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS/HCM systems, reporting tools, and similar computer applications.


Base Pay Range: $70,000-$85,000

Compensation Disclosure:

At Phillips and Temro Industries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is listed above. Your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location. The final salary offer will be based on these criteria and may differ based on the candidate's experience and qualifications and other job-related reasons.
