What You'll Do
As an EDDA, you'll play an important role in both patient care and clinical support. Your responsibilities will include:
Assist the dentist with restorative, endodontic, surgical, and other dental procedures
Perform expanded functions within the scope of state regulations, including placing and contouring restorations, taking impressions, and applying sealants
Take dental radiographs and complete preliminary charting
Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment materials
Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
Welcome and prepare patients for treatment while helping create a comfortable, positive experience
Provide patients and families with post-treatment and oral hygiene instructions
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Help maintain inventory and ensure clinical supplies are available
Support the overall flow and efficiency of the practice
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is confident in their clinical skills, dependable, organized, and genuinely enjoys working with children. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required state dental assisting certifications/credentials, including applicable radiology, nitrous oxide, and expanded function/expanded duties certifications
Current CPR certification
Previous dental assisting experience preferred
Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
