Koch Fertilizer Enid, LLC has a summer 2027 opportunity available in Enid, Oklahoma:

    The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2027.

    Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern within our EHS team

    What You Will Do

    This internship will provide meaningful experience in the EH&S space, but will also focus in on one of the following focus areas: Environmental; Health & Safety (H&S); or Process Safety Management (PSM).

    * Environmental

      • Support environmental compliance programs through inspections, permitting activities, and environmental documentation.
      • Assist with stormwater, waste management, and regulatory reporting activities.
      • Participate in field inspections and work with contractors and site personnel to support environmental compliance.

    * Health & Safety

      • Partner with operations and site personnel to support safe work practices, permitting activities, and safety initiatives.
      • Assist with safety programs, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
      • Help identify and solve workplace safety challenges across the facility.

    * Process Safety Management (PSM)

      • Support process safety programs through documentation management, compliance activities, and risk reduction initiatives.
      • Assist with process safety systems, reviews, and continuous improvement projects.
      • Analyze data and support efforts that help maintain safe and reliable plant operations.

    * Across All Focus Areas

      • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams to solve problems and create value for the business.
      • Take ownership of meaningful projects and present findings and recommendations to site stakeholders.

    Physical Requirements

      Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to walk through an industrial manufacturing facility and access operating areas.Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Ability to perform both office and field-based work activities.

      Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

      • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
      • Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2028.
      • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
      • Willing and able to meet all physical requirements.

      What Will Put You Ahead

      • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, or process improvement projects.
      • Previous internship, research, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial experience.
