About the Role

The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC is seeking a skilled, part-time 20%,AdjunctAssistant Professor of Clinical Dentistryfaculty position to join the Department ofAdvanced Periodontology team. This position plays a critical role in clinical teaching in the post-doctoral Advanced Periodontology Program. In this program, you will focus on diagnosis, risk assessment, treatment planning, and surgical periodontal and dental implant therapy. Direct faculty supervision is a required component of resident education, ensuring high-quality patient care while providing the hands-on clinical training necessary for residents to develop competency and meet program accreditation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • DDS degree
  • Certificate in Periodontology from US accredited Periodontology program
  • Valid California dental license
  • Candidates with Diplomate Status (or Board eligible) fromAmerican Board of Periodontology and Masters of Since degree are considered favorably.
  • At least 2 years in clinical periodontology and implant surgery
  • Experience in resective and regenerative periodontal surgery
  • Experience in periodontal mucogingival and plastic surgery
  • Experience in implant surgery and implant site development, including autogenous as well as biomaterials regenerative procedures.
