Education Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or training in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and hands-on machining experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, machining practices, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, material selection, and machining applications.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating and programming CNC machining equipment.
  • Proven experience with CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills.
  • Proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming, editing, and optimization.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and performing quality inspections.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with machine setup, tooling adjustments, and production issues.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.


Job Duties

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills to manufacture precision components.
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve production efficiency and part quality.
  • Perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, and part inspections to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.
  • Read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to accurately machine parts.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and conduct first-piece and in-process inspections.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
  • Review products for quality standards and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Manage multiple machining projects while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and on-time completion goals.
