Education Requirements Associate degree, technical certification, or training in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on machining experience will be considered. Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes, machining practices, and quality control procedures. Strong understanding of metal properties, material selection, and machining applications. Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience operating and programming CNC machining equipment. Proven experience with CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills. Proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming, editing, and optimization. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Experience using precision measuring instruments and performing quality inspections. Strong troubleshooting skills with machine setup, tooling adjustments, and production issues. Physical Capabilities Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines. Job Duties Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, manual lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills to manufacture precision components. Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve production efficiency and part quality. Perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, and part inspections to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications. Read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to accurately machine parts. Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and conduct first-piece and in-process inspections. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow. Review products for quality standards and customer requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
