Compliance & Contracts Specialist Contract Opportunity | Indianapolis, IN (Remote Considered) | Weekly Hours: 40 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is a fast-growing, category-leading company in the employee benefits technology space, helping organizations offer more flexible, personalized health insurance options to their employees. Still operating with a startup mentality despite significant scale and growth, the company is investing in building out a stronger compliance and legal support function as it heads into its busiest season of the year. This is a contract opportunity (estimated 6-12 months, with potential to convert to a permanent role) for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys getting into the details of contracts, policy, and regulatory work. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Review and manage redlines on customer contracts, working closely with the compliance lead to negotiate and finalize agreement terms * Draft, review, and help maintain internal compliance policies and procedures * Support banking and regulatory compliance efforts, including work related to an active transition between financial institution partners * Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Security/IT, and Operations teams to support contract and compliance needs across the business * Help build out and strengthen compliance processes and controls as the function continues to mature WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Experience reviewing and redlining contracts from a legal/compliance perspective * Background in policy writing, review, and administration * Banking or financial regulatory compliance experience is a strong plus * Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-volume environment with shifting priorities * Self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time * Healthcare or insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required * No specific degree or certification required LOGISTICS * Engagement Type: Contract (through Vaco), with potential to convert to permanent * Estimated Duration: 6-12 months, with potential for full time hire * Location: Remote-friendly during the contract period.
