Description
Location: Columbus, OH

Shift: Monday-Friday and occasional weekend assignments, between 7:00am - 4:30pm based on location, hours will be around 40 hours per week within the hours/days mentioned.
FLSA: Nonexempt

The position will be responsible for the following job duties:



  • Floor Tech work:

    • Sweeps strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors.
    • Vacuum and shampoo rugs and carpeted areas of the facility.
    • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, etc.
    • Utilize the correct products and equipment needed for the job.
    • Carry heavy equipment.
    • Transport equipment from various locations as necessary.
    • Maintain equipment and notify supervisor of any mechanical difficulties or improvements that need to be made.
    • Take care of all safety precautions in the area so as to not cause any injuries to people walking on the floors or yourself.
    • Notify your supervisor of any problems that arise at the facility or any work that is not completed by the designated deadline.


  • Float Custodian:

    • Works as a backup for all sites to cover leaves and vacancies as required.
    • Clean commercial, state, or federal sites based on customer specifications


  • Driver:

    • Will drive company vehicle to deliver supplies, inventory and laundry to a number of locations within Franklin County.



Qualifications

  • High school education or GED; and at least 6 months work related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass federal clearance checks and maintain a clean driving record.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have floorcare experience.
  • Must have 6 points or less on their driver's license with an active driver's license and be approved to drive agency vehicles.
