Overview
VTG is seeking a SeaVision Systems Administrator III to support NIWC Pacific's Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Training program. The role will install, configure, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot SeaVision and related MDA environments, sensor systems, and data-integration nodes. Work will be performed primarily at a contractor site or remotely, with periodic Government-site support based on mission needs.
What will you do?
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot SeaVision-related environments, MDA sensor systems, and data-integration nodes.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, virtual private networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems, wireless technologies, and related security controls.
- Support biometrics capabilities and vulnerability-scanning and remediation tools used within MDA environments.
Integrate MDA network hardware and software, diagnose service interruptions, and implement approved corrective actions. - Build and maintain web environments, backend access controls, and knowledge-management capabilities
supporting global users. - Monitor and report system and network operational status, security posture, and technical risks.
- Support cybersecurity testing, vulnerability assessments, technical exercises, demonstrations, and mission events.
- Coordinate securely with Government and contractor stakeholders and maintain accurate technical
documentation. - Attend secure-location meetings at NSA Naples, Italy, when required; approximately 1-2 meetings per year are anticipated.
Do you have what it takes?
- Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Personnel requiring SCI access must have a current SSBI/T5 with ICD 704 eligibility and enrollment in Continuous Vetting.
- Desired: Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Desired: Seven (7) years of professional systems-administration experience.
- Desired: Two (2) years of SeaVision system-administrator experience.
- Hands-on experience with network security controls, system troubleshooting, vulnerability tools, web environments, and access management.
- Ability and willingness to attend periodic secure meetings at NSA Naples, Italy.
- Directly relevant equivalent education and experience may be considered; the solicitation establishes no fixed substitution formula.
Travel: Program performance is anticipated to be approximately 90% contractor-site/remote combined and 10% Government-site. Remote arrangements and travel assignments will follow mission needs. *position pending contract award* VTG's estimated starting pay range is $95,000-$135,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
