Who is Saint Louis University? Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities. SLU, which also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, is recognized for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service. Postdoctoral Scholar (Complex Photonics and Wave Control) Opportunity for a postdoctoral scholar is available in Dr. Hasan Ylmaz's research group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Saint Louis University for researchers with strong backgrounds in complex photonics, wave physics, mesoscopic physics, or related fields. The successful candidate will primarily carry out experimental research on complex photonics, wave control, and light transport in systems such as multiple-scattering media and multimode fibers. The position involves developing advanced optical experiments, conducting numerical simulations, and engaging closely with theoretical aspects of wave physics. Current research directions include wavefront shaping, transmission eigenchannels, mesoscopic correlations, spatiotemporal wave control, and the fundamental limits of light manipulation in complex systems. The candidate is expected to work closely with theoretical and experimental collaborators and supervise and mentor graduate students. Requirements:
