What to Expect As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various self-perform construction projects. You will lead our internal Tesla Construction team and collaborate cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. What You'll Do Lead a team comprising Project Coordinators, Buyers, Superintendents, and craft personnel Foster a culture focused on safety and quality across projects and throughout the company Conduct constructability reviews of design packages Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude to align stakeholders with project goals Identify project risks and opportunities, actively managing them throughout the project lifecycle Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements Interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams Conduct Lessons Learned sessions during and after each project Enforce high standards for document configuration control and ensure incorporation of RFIs into final Record drawings Manage Change Control Management for all new scope of work What You'll Bring Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil/structural/architectural fields, including 5 years as a Project Manager on projects valued at $25M+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience); MBA or PMP certification preferred Proficiency in material take-offs, estimating, and reading/interpreting/managing changes to construction drawings Strong skills in construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance, and variance analysis Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with tight timelines; open to new ideas and continuous learning Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites, often on short notice
