We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Supervisor who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems. Experience with HVAC and plumbing is strongly preferred, along with a general knowledge of hotel or building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and prioritize daily work orders and projects.
  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and equipment issues as needed.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure repairs are completed properly.
  • Coordinate maintenance work with other hotel departments to minimize guest disruption.
  • Help maintain and inspect building safety equipment and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety requirements.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow proper safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
  • Assist with training, scheduling, supervising, and supporting Engineering team members.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or vocational training is a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with refrigeration, electrical, and general building maintenance is a plus.
  • Previous hotel, commercial building, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and building systems.
  • Ability to read work orders, equipment manuals, and basic plumbing or electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and safe work practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
