Join our Chandler Fab Shop team as a Plastic Pipe Cleanroom Welder/Assembler, where you will fabricate and weld high-purity thermoplastic piping systems used in controlled cleanroom environments. In this role, you will apply specialized fusion welding techniques while ensuring all work meets stringent quality, cleanliness, and industry standards required in semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities.

What You Will Do

  • Perform welding and fabrication of plastic piping systems using approved fusion welding techniques.
  • Install and assemble high-purity piping, valves, fittings, and related components in clean environments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, specifications, and installation procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain materials in accordance with cleanroom contamination-control requirements.
  • Perform pipe cutting, facing, alignment, and preparation prior to welding.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain weld records, traceability documentation, and quality control reports.
  • Operate and maintain fusion welding equipment and related tools.
  • Follow GMP, cleanroom protocols, and company safety policies.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, team members, and quality personnel to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of high-purity materials to prevent contamination.

  • Department: Chandler Fab Shop onsite in Chandler, AZ
  • Reports to: Production Manager
  • Work Environment: Fab Shop

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plastic pipe welding and assembly.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Proficiency in Butt Fusion and Infrared (IR) Fusion welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and contamination-control practices.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom garments, PPE, and controlled environments.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision welding and inspection tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturer certifications for thermoplastic fusion welding equipment.
  • Experience with PVDF, PP-R, PP-H, and HDPE piping systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay range for this role is $27-29.51/hr Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
