We are seeking a Clean Energy Data Specialist to join a team at the intersection of clean energy, data strategy, and program operations. In this role, your contributions will drive the data insights, reporting, and operational rigor behind programs that support commercial managed charging and advance company and state clean energy goals. Youll work with complex data sets, handle timely and accurate payment processing, work directly with customers for enrollment, and turn charging behavior data into actionable insights. This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative, detail-oriented team member to influence how E-Mobility programs scale, perform, and deliver measurable results. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan
Core Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of the Smart Charge Commercial and SmartCharge Tech programs, including tracking commercial customer enrollment and participation
- Perform analysis of interval data to evaluate charging behavior, load patterns, and program performance
- Maintain and update program dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools (e.g., enrollment tracking, participation metrics, and data quality checks)
- Assist in validating and reconciling customer, site-based, and fleet charging data across systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Monitor key program metrics, including managed charging participation and load shifting performance, and flag inconsistencies or issues
- Identify data quality issues and escalate for resolution to ensure reliable reporting and program integrity
- Support development of summaries and insights to inform program adjustments and operational decision-making
- Assist with documenting processes, program updates, reporting methodologies and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support data requests
- Support preparation of materials and summaries for internal team and leadership updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, tracking tools, and workflows

- Must report on-site to the Spring Valley Operations Center on a hybrid schedule with defined in-office expectations.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant work experience or
- Associate's Degree and four years of relevant work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, such as (but not limited to) computer science, data science and/or analytics, engineering, mathematics, clean energy, sustainability, or other related technical disciplines or
- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, such as (but not limited to) computer science, data science and/or analytics, engineering, mathematics, clean energy, sustainability, or other related technical disciplines
Relevant Work Experience
- Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines, required.
- Ability to structure and analyze large and complex datasets, required.
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), required.
- Experience with data cleaning, data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, Tableau, or similar enterprise platforms), required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including use of Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and large dataset management, required.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, and various levels of management in a responsive, productive, and professional manner, required.
- Ability to clearly summarize and communicate data findings in a concise manner, required.
- Experience with utility billing systems and data systems, including SQL query and MDMS, preferred.
- Experience writing and interpreting computer programming language such as Python, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work in the Company service territory and travel to other CECONY/O&R locations, as needed
- Must be able and willing to occasionally travel to regulatory and industry meetings as required.
