Art/Writing Juror

The Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa seeks art and writing jurors to review submissions for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

Candidates should possess one of the following required qualifications:

• Emerging and established writers/artists
• Curators from museums or galleries
• Administrators from arts councils, historical societies, guilds, or other organizations
• Creative professionals working in a related field
• Graduate students in related fields
• College professors or admissions counselors
• Librarians, archivists, or historians
• Administrators or members of writing guilds or clubs
• Scholastic Awards alumni

The primary responsibilities will include evaluating and scoring middle/high school art and writing submissions. Adjudication will take place between December 1 and January 16.

All adjudication will take place digitally: either via Zoom (for art) or the program's online judging platform (for writing). Compensation is provided in the form of an honorarium at $30 per session/judging panel.
