Quality Engineer III

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000

Advance Your Quality Engineering Career

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer III to support automotive manufacturing operations and lead quality improvement, problem-solving, and launch activities. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers to drive product and process quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, root cause, and corrective action activities.
  • Lead/support APQP, PPAP/ISIR, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
  • Drive defect, scrap, rework, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage customer and supplier quality issues, containment, and corrective actions.
  • Support NPI, product launches, engineering changes, and production improvements.
  • Monitor quality metrics and support internal/customer audits.
  • Provide hands-on quality support to manufacturing and production teams.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality experience.
  • Strong automotive manufacturing experience; OEM, Tier 1/Tier 2, or automotive components preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred.


Preferred

  • Automotive lighting or electrical/electronic component experience.
  • IATF 16949 / AIAG Core Tools.
  • Customer/Supplier Quality experience.
  • NPI/launch experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience.


Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. Relocation candidates are welcome.
