Position Title: E Machine Operator
Wage: $18.75 per hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm-5:00am QPS Employment Group has a great E Machine Operator position available at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. E Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate E Bevel Grind equipment for processing band blades and coil products. - Set up grinding wheels to achieve proper bevel placement, side-to-side symmetry, and finish specifications. - Make machine adjustments as necessary to compensate for grinding wheel wear and variations in incoming product geometry. - Load and unload individual bands into grinding equipment during production cycles - Operate multiple machines simultaneously as production demands require. - Inspect blades and products after processing to verify quality standards are met. - Follow production schedules to locate, move, and stage blade bundles and coil materials. - Handle bundles of blades weighing approximately 30 to 45 pounds throughout the shift. - Move and handle coils weighing 50 to 70 pounds during scheduled production runs. - Complete written and computerized production records, work orders, and production schedule documentation. - Monitor equipment performance and maintain required production standards. - Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines when handling blades, coils, and grinding equipment. E Machine Operator Requirements: - Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to operate wet grinding equipment safely and effectively. - Ability to set up and adjust grinding equipment to maintain required edge finish specifications. - Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. - Ability to complete production paperwork and utilize computerized data entry systems. - Basic computer skills for production reporting and recordkeeping. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. - Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality expectations. - Ability to safely handle large blades and manufacturing materials. - Reliable attendance and punctuality. - Ability to lift and move 50 to 70 pounds. - Ability to raise and position materials at waist height and overhead as required. - Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift. - Ability to perform repetitive loading, unloading, and inspection activities. - Ability to work around wet grinding equipment and moving machinery. - Ability to handle blades up to 250 inches in circumference safely.
