About the Role

You will be instrumental in evaluating complex web projects, designing and interpreting experiments, and conducting deep-dive investigations to uncover critical insights that directly inform strategic decisions and drive product adoption.

What You'll Do



  • Proactively evaluate and respond to stakeholder requests regarding the impact of web projects and cross-team initiatives.
  • Design, execute, and meticulously evaluate web experiments utilizing various advanced experimentation platforms.
  • Leverage sophisticated behavioral analytics tools to critically assess the influence of web design on user engagement and overall usability.
  • Utilize behavioral analytics and business intelligence tools to expertly answer ad-hoc questions pertaining to user behavior, funnel performance, and the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Generate comprehensive monthly reports detailing web engagement, including intricate session patterns, behavioral insights, and nuanced page-level trends.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and marketers to clarify complex analytics questions and adeptly translate them into structured, actionable analyses.
  • Lead page-level and flow-level investigations to pinpoint critical issues or identify significant opportunities across the platform's purchase and conversion paths.

Required Skills



  • 5-7+ years of dedicated experience in web analytics and/or marketing analytics, demonstrating a profound understanding of digital ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies, encompassing experiment design, seamless implementation, and insightful results interpretation, bolstered by a strong grasp of statistical concepts like power, significance, and confidence intervals.
  • Advanced spreadsheet software skills, including mastery of pivot tables, complex data lookup functions, and sophisticated data manipulation for in-depth analysis.
  • Extensive experience with leading web analytics platforms for comprehensive tracking, reporting, and interpretation of user behavior and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional ability to transform ambiguous or loosely framed questions into refined, structured analytical approaches that yield clear, actionable answers.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly the talent for distilling complex findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting marketing teams, growth teams, or web teams in deciphering and understanding performance data to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Comfort and adaptability in context-switching across multiple stakeholders and managing diverse incoming requests in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills



  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge behavioral analytics tools to uncover deeper user insights.
  • Proficiency with structured query language (SQL) and comfort querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Direct experience with various experimentation platforms to drive continuous optimization.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools for data visualization and reporting.
  • Understanding of SEO analytics, documentation analytics, or logged-in behavior measurement.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data for developer-focused products.
