The Quality Control Manager will lead their team by safely producing high quality products on time for the customer, at effective costs. The supervisor will demonstrate leadership by promoting a positive attitude and creating a culture of accountability and job satisfaction. This role will oversee production of employees on their shift, assist in training to production employees as needed, planning and directing production work, and addressing/resolving issues within the department quickly with a high level of integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety, quality & compliance among the team while maintaining good manufacturing practices at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
  • Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the cross-functional team embed with the company values through demonstration & recognition of individual & team behaviors.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Communicate with management to maintain workflow and notify of employee concerns to ensure daily production goals are met
  • Study production schedules and estimate completion of job timelines
  • Manage, motivate, develop and involve production associates through coaching and performance management.
  • Ensure effective two way communication through teamwork and collaboration in and out of the department.
  • Effective recruitment, selection, training of new employees.
  • Schedules and assigns work within the unit to regulate workflow and meet required schedules.
  • Provides technical assistance and supervision throughout the unit.
  • Orders necessary supplies to perform jobs within the unit.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of unit equipment and tools.
  • Performs and/or assists in special projects as assigned.
  • Meeting Revenue and Level load expectations, working closely with inside sales, production control and operations.
  • Coordinating outside service for customer specific requirements.
  • Analyze product rejections and returns to establish preliminary investigation for quality issues. This includes communicating findings within the quality department, operations, process engineering, front end engineering, and the customer, as applicable.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Self-starter with ability to do follow-up to completion without supervision.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English, to the extent necessary to perform the job functions.
  • Able to understand concerning technical requirements.
  • Able to effectively communicate with others, both basic and technical concepts. Recommend and implement improvements to processes increasing efficiency.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and peripheral devices.
  • Understands basic corrective/preventive action concepts.
  • Well organized and able to multitask.

Education and Experience:

  • Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Three to Five years supervisory experience preferred
  • Quality Department experience
  • PCB experience preferred
  • Understanding of printed circuit accreditation programs (NADCAP, AS9100, ISO, MIL, etc)

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
