Aon is hiring for a Health Solutions Senior Consultant in San Francisco - (Hybrid position)

As a Health Solutions Senior Consultant, you will partner with sophisticated employers to design and deliver innovative health and benefits strategies that balance cost, risk, competitiveness, and employee experience. You will lead complex projects, influence client decisions, collaborate with industry-leading subject matter experts, and help shape solutions that impact employees and their families.

What the day will look like

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a key leader within the client team. You will help employers navigate complex healthcare and workforce challenges by delivering thoughtful analysis, strategic recommendations, and exceptional client service.

Specifically, the Health Solutions Senior Consultant will:

  • Lead health and benefits consulting engagements for a portfolio of clients, taking ownership of project strategy, execution, and outcomes.
  • Analyze healthcare, financial, and workforce data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with clients to address challenges related to cost management, employee wellbeing, benefits strategy, vendor performance, and evolving workforce needs.
  • Translate complex concepts and analytics into clear, compelling presentations and recommendations for HR, finance, and business leaders.
  • Coordinate across Aon's specialized resources, including actuarial, pharmacy, wellbeing, compliance, broking, legal, audit, and data analytics teams, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, insurance carriers, and vendor partners while serving as a primary day-to-day client contact.
  • Anticipate client needs, exercise strong business judgment, and develop innovative, practical solutions that balance cost, risk, competitiveness, and employee experience.
  • Lead project planning and execution, delegate work effectively, review work product, manage issues, and maintain accountability for high-quality client deliverables.
  • Guide and mentor analysts and consultants, helping them strengthen their technical knowledge, consulting capabilities, and client leadership skills.
  • Contribute to Aon's intellectual capital, best practices, and market-leading solutions through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and participation in practice initiatives.
  • Learn about Aon's broader capabilities and thoughtfully introduce relevant resources when they can help address a client's people, risk, or capital challenges.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Five to ten years of experience in health and benefits consulting, brokerage, insurance, or a related field, with strong working knowledge of employee benefits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to interpret financial and healthcare data and turn findings into meaningful insights.
  • Experience leading client projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect benefits strategy to broader organizational objectives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, sound judgment, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and related business tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Must have appropriate insurance license/life and health (can be fulfilled post-hire)

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $97,000 to $126,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
