We are searching for a dynamic Editor to champion the Audiobooks experience across Brazil and Portugal. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in launching and shaping our client's books experience in the LATAM region and beyond. You'll connect amazing stories with the right moods, moments, and genres, ensuring listeners in these vibrant markets find content they'll truly love. Your expertise will directly influence content discovery, cultural relevance, and the overall success of the audiobooks platform, making a tangible difference in how audiences engage with literature.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and contribute to the editorial strategy for audiobooks across Brazil and Portugal.
  • Take full ownership of the Audiobooks Browse experience for your markets, acting as an all-genre specialist with a comprehensive understanding of what listeners need across every category.
  • Support, curate, and manage a tight, high-priority set of editorial programs across your markets.
  • Write compelling copy, review, and tag content for both forward-facing editorial programs and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with and maintain strong publisher relationships for Portuguese-language content, working closely with the LATAM editorial lead and Associate Director.
  • Assess publisher-suggested titles for editorial and wider cross-functional activities, proposing additional editorial-led promotions grounded in cultural awareness and trendspotting.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Editorial team to align on regional editorial strategy and share cross-market insights.
  • Utilize research, cultural insights, and data analytics to continually enhance the editorial lens for the audiobooks platform.
  • Work and collaborate with regional cross-functional teams when feasible to highlight and champion audiobooks.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience editing, curating, or merchandising content at a digital-first platform, a publishing house, or a major books retailer.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, with strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • A deep understanding of the publishing landscapes in Brazil and Portugal, and a genuine passion for connecting listeners with great content.
  • An ability to balance commercial recommendations with diverse, representative programming.
  • A keen sense of what makes titles appropriate for different situations, and an ability to quickly identify authors, series, and titles to recommend.
  • Comfort using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform editorial decisions.
  • Experience building and implementing diverse recommendations that reflect a broad range of cultures, people, and perspectives.
  • A passion for the evolution of audio and enthusiasm for spoken word content.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
