Do you enjoy transforming unique customer requirements into practical, customized sensor solutions? Are you energized by combining mechanical design, materials knowledge, and hands-on manufacturing support? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can guide a product from design and documentation through testing and production? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to use your technical curiosity and problem-solving skills to develop and support customized electrochemical sensors, parts, and subassemblies that meet specialized customer needs. As an Electromechanical Sensor TSP Engineer within the Anaheim Division's R&D group, you will work closely with engineers, vendors, management, and cross-functional partners in Production, Quality, Shipping, and Certification to help ensure each TSP product is designed, documented, tested, manufactured, and delivered according to customer requirements. Which tasks will you perform? * Design customized electrochemical (EC) sensors, special parts, and sub-assemblies according to customer requests. * Specify requirements for parts, electrolytes, and tests. * Create mechanical drawings for TSP products. * Create BoMs, routers, and work instructions for production to make TSP products. * Create TSPs in SAP to document the BoMs, routers, drawings, and work instructions. * Calculate TSP costs and determine TSP prices. * Check engineering changes/revisions and update TSPs as needed. * Follow up with production, quality and shipping departments to make sure TSP products are made, tested, and shipped as designed and meet customer requirements. * Audit production lines and manufacturing processes to identify and correct quality problems. * Perform other assigned tasks as needed, such as validate and perform product evaluation testing and coordinate certification activities with certification engineers. What do we expect from you? * Knowledge of mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, and design practices. * Skills in mechanical design using PRO/E, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD programs. * Knowledge of assembly methods and testing procedures. * Knowledge of standard labor and material costing procedures. * Knowledge of electrochemical sensors, such as pH and ORP sensors, and their measuring principles. * Knowledge of electronic circuits and devices. * Ability to organize, prioritize, and assign tasks to meet deadlines. * Skills in MS Office and technical presentations. * Interact effectively with engineers, vendors, management, and others. * Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. * Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 35 lbs independently. * A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred. * Two or more years of experience related to mechanical design, engineering, and manufacturing are required. * Experience in sensor design, materials and chemical analysis is a plus. What can you expect from us? * Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future. * Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training, tuition reimbursement, success coaching, and further education opportunities. * Comprehensive benefit package (to include medical, dental, vision) and 401(k) savings with company match. * Work-life balance encouraged through our 10 company-paid holidays, paid time off, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs (financial, mental, and physical health and wellbeing), and employee discounts. | |
