Join our North American Gas and Power team as a Senior Natural Gas Fundamentals Analyst in Houston, where you will partner closely with traders, strategists, and senior stakeholders to lead the development and enhancement of proprietary supply/demand models, forecasting frameworks, and analytical dashboards. You will leverage deep expertise in key market drivers including supply and demand fundamentals, weather, storage, pipeline flows, LNG exports, and regulatory and geopolitical developments to generate actionable market insights. By synthesizing large and complex datasets from industry and proprietary sources, you will provide strategic recommendations that support trading decisions, risk management, and portfolio optimization.

What role will you play?

In this role, you'll lead the analysis of production, consumption, imports, exports, LNG flows, storage balances, and pipeline dynamics to anticipate market movements and identify trading opportunities. You will independently develop market views, deliver fundamental forecasts, and communicate complex findings and recommendations to traders, management, and other stakeholders. You will serve as a subject matter expert on North American natural gas markets while helping drive enhancements to analytical tools, forecasting methodologies, and data infrastructure. Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills are essential for success in this fast-paced trading environment.



What you offer

  • Minimum seven years of relevant natural gas market analysis experience, ideally gained within a trading, energy, commodities, financial services, or other fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Deep expertise with natural gas market analysis tools, supply/demand forecasting, and modeling platforms, including experience building and maintaining complex fundamental models.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline flows, storage dynamics, LNG export markets, basis differentials, regional market fundamentals, and regulatory impacts across North American gas markets.
  • Experience covering one or more major North American natural gas trading regions, including Henry Hub, Permian, Waha, SoCal, Dominion South, Appalachia, or Gulf Coast markets.
  • Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, or data visualization platforms is a plus but not required.
  • Proven ability to influence trading strategies and commercial decision-making through delivery of insightful market research, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across trading, quantitative, risk, and commercial teams.
