Description and Requirements

Summary

Motorola Mobility, a Lenovo company, is seeking a Product Management Specialist to lead the strategy, planning, development, and lifecycle management of smartphone software experiences. This role will own a smartphone product family and associated software features, working closely with engineering, design, AI, marketing, and business teams to deliver innovative, customer-focused experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with a passion for emerging technologies, user experience, and mobile software innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of smartphone software experiences, including planning, development, launch, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
  • Define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and feature requirements for assigned software experiences and product areas.
  • Drive software requirement management by gathering user insights, evaluating market needs, defining specifications, and prioritizing features.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams across engineering, design, AI, marketing, sales, and customer support to deliver world-class software experiences.
  • Translate business, user, and technical requirements into actionable product specifications for development teams.
  • Track feature implementation, issue resolution, and requirement changes to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies, particularly AI-driven experiences, to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions related to architecture, development, testing, validation, and deployment of new software capabilities.
  • Champion Lenovo's customer-first design philosophy by ensuring experiences are designed for end users, marketing effectiveness, and retail success.
  • Drive continuous product and experience improvements based on customer feedback, analytics, and market insights.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Product Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in software products, mobile applications, or consumer technology.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience managing product requirements, roadmaps, and feature delivery across the product lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and cross-functional product development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Experience in smartphone, mobile software, consumer electronics, or technology industries.
  • Experience working on AI-powered products, features, or user experiences.
  • Background with leading technology companies, smartphone manufacturers, or software-focused organizations.
  • Familiarity with Android ecosystems, mobile user experiences, and software feature development.
  • Experience conducting market analysis, competitive intelligence, and user research to drive product decisions.
  • Experience working with global teams and stakeholders across different regions.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and a strong understanding of industry trends in AI and mobile experiences.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The anticipated annual compensation range for this position is 105,000-161,000 USD. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and business considerations.
