JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Revenue Cycle Technology & Automation is accountable for the technology, automation, and AI-enabled workflows that power the UVMH's revenue integrity, from patient access and eligibility through coding, claims, denials, and payment. This role is chartered to convert the revenue cycle from a supported cost center into a measurable margin engine.
The Director owns the revenue cycle technology stack (Epic revenue applications and integrated bolt-ons), an explicit automation roadmap with quantified return targets, denials prevention, prior-authorization automation, coding assistance, payer connectivity, and robotic and agentic workflow automation, and the data integrity that links clinical quality documentation to appropriate reimbursement. The role operates under the UVMH's 'back-office assertive, clinical deliberate' automation posture: administrative automation is pursued assertively, with rigorous controls, auditability, and human accountability for every automated decision that touches a patient account.
