Description

The Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics Analyst supports the planning, movement, and management of inventory throughout the supply chain. This role assists with transportation coordination, purchase order management, inventory monitoring, reporting, and supply chain analysis. The position works closely with suppliers, distribution centers, carriers, and internal business partners to ensure timely product flow and accurate information across the supply chain network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inbound and outbound transportation activities, including shipment tracking and documentation.
  • Support communication with freight carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and distribution centers regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) issues and coordinate resolution efforts with warehouse and vendor partners.
  • Assist with purchase order entry, maintenance, and updates to support inventory availability and customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential supply or replenishment concerns.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to inventory, transportation costs, supplier performance, and supply chain metrics.
  • Assist in analyzing freight expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records associated with imports, exports, duties, and shipping documentation.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning activities through data analysis and system maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Distribution, and Finance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance supply chain efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service.
  • Learn and develop expertise in enterprise supply chain systems, reporting tools, and planning software.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare documents, manage schedules, create reports, organize data, and support daily departmental operations.
  • Maintain effective email communication by responding promptly to internal and external inquiries, drafting professional correspondence, and organizing messages using Outlook tools such as calendars, tasks, and folders.
  • Attend meetings (in-person or via Microsoft Teams), prepare and share documentation as needed, and follow up on assigned action items using taskmanagement tools such as Teams Tasks or Planner.
  • Create, update, and maintain records, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and other office documentation to support departmental processes and ensure accurate information tracking.
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers, leaders, customers, and visitors, both verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and a high level of customer service.
  • Support teamwork by participating in shared projects, providing assistance to colleagues, and contributing to a respectful, collaborative workplace culture.


Required Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Experience



  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Analytics, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Internship, co-op experience, or 0-2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, transportation, purchasing, or related areas preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners.
  • Willingness to learn transportation, inventory management, forecasting, and supply chain planning processes.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on available information and established procedures.
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, transportation management, or forecasting systems is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Process and detail oriented with ability to multi-task.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This position operates in a professional office environment. Work is typically performed in a climatecontrolled setting with standard office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, and printers. The role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, as well as to move throughout the office to access files, equipment, and meeting spaces. Noise levels are generally low to moderate.

The employee is expected to maintain a neat, clean, and professional workspace and follow company guidelines for workplace appearance and conduct. The role may require occasional adjustments to support business needs, such as attending inoffice meetings, collaborating with colleagues onsite, or participating in video calls where professional oncamera appearance is expected.
