Summary

In alignment with Gift of Life Michigan's core purpose and core values, the Packaging Coordinator prepares, inventories, and ships a variety of material for educational programs, marketing events, and outreach to Gift of Life partners.


Duties & Responsibilities

The following job duties and responsibilities are stated in broad terms and not intended to be inclusive. Those in bold are essential duties of the position:



  • Prepare and process organization wide merchandise orders.
  • Ensure that all outgoing shipments of orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assemble and stock various educational and promotional packets.
  • Assist in merchandise ordering and campaign planning in coordination with the Marketing Department
  • Enter data into computer database, such as the volunteer database forms and the inventory system, ensuring that all data entry is accurate and complete.
  • Prepare merchandise inventory reports.
  • Maintain Merchandise Ordering System (MOS).
  • Implement logistics techniques to improve merchandising systems and processes.
  • Clean and organize the merchandise and materials storage areas.
  • Assist in tracking supplies and other tasks, as assigned.
  • Assist other departments with projects, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Preferred

  • Prior experience in a healthcare organization, transplant center, or organ/tissue procurement organization.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

  • Written and verbal fluency in English.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Teams and other technology systems used in business operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.


  • Ability to work independently on daily activities.
  • Use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to manage task or project assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
