Job Description

VERIFY THE DETAILS. PROTECT TRACEABILITY. HELP EVERY PART MOVE FORWARD CORRECTLY.

At PCC Structurals - Carson City, every aerospace part must be correctly identified, documented, and traceable before it moves to the next operation or ships to the customer. Our Manufacturing Identification Technicians help protect that process by verifying part markings, serial numbers, certifications, measurements, and production records.

This is a strong entry-level opportunity for someone who is attentive, consistent, and comfortable performing detailed, repetitive work. You'll receive hands-on training and have opportunities to cross-train as your inspection knowledge develops.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Verify part identity, serial numbers, lot traceability, and required markings.
  • Confirm that part markings meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Review routers, certifications, technique cards, and production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify that the correct documentation accompanies each part before it moves to the next operation.
  • Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections using calipers and other precision tools.
  • Compare parts against applicable specifications, inspection requirements, and quality control plans.
  • Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Enter and track production and inspection activity in E1 or other applicable systems.
  • Complete inspection records and traceability documentation accurately.
  • Apply basic shop math and print-reading skills during inspection activities.
  • Handle and transport parts carefully to prevent damage.
  • Support production flow while meeting cycle-time and inspection expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Cross-train in additional inspection processes and responsibilities as assigned.

YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

  • Notice small details and take pride in getting information right.
  • Are comfortable performing focused, repetitive inspection and documentation tasks.
  • Can follow written instructions, routers, technique cards, and established procedures.
  • Stay accurate even when completing similar tasks throughout the shift.
  • Are willing to learn how to use calipers and other precision inspection tools.
  • Keep records organized and understand the importance of traceability.
  • Communicate when something does not match instead of allowing a questionable part or document to continue.
  • Can balance accuracy with production and cycle-time expectations.
  • Are dependable and comfortable working independently once trained.
  • Want to cross-train and build broader inspection and quality skills.
  • Are looking for an entry-level path into aerospace manufacturing and quality inspection.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As a Manufacturing Identification Technician, your attention to detail helps PCC Structurals - Carson City maintain accurate records, meet customer requirements, and ensure each part is ready to move forward.
