Industrial Engineer



Precision Fusing and Sensors is actively hiring for an Industrial Engineer in Middletown, CT. This entry level role plays a pivotal part in our Operations Department, with primary responsibilities that include assisting in analyzing workflows, collecting data, and implementing process improvements aligned with Lean principles.



Responsibilities



  • Communicate and drive the overall CI Precision Fuzing & Sensors new strategy to Industrial Engineering Manager for communication to the Director of Operations.
  • Works to collect, organize, and interpret data related to production, labor, and performance metrics. Supports time studies, work measurement, and standard work development.
  • Help develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and visual management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and supply chain.
  • Assist in capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for Industrial Engineering Manager on findings and recommendations
  • Works in collaboration with employees in shop and administrative functional areas to coordinate, facilitate, and conduct lean events at all Precision Products locations.
  • Assist with the support of implementing Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing projects for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all applicable team members of lessons learned, information, and best practices as directed by the Continuous Improvement team for read across all facilities.



Qualifications



  • Four-year college degree in a related field, or a two year college degree in a related field with additional work experience that equates to a complete four-year degree required.
  • 0-2 years of experience including internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).



Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30a-3:00p
