Start Date:

A well-known retail and lifestyle brand is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the team that brings creative to life across their website and mobile app. This team takes concepts from the brand's creative group and builds the digital experience customers see on homepages, collection pages, and product pages.

The cadence is weekly: creative is briefed and goes live about three weeks later. It moves fast, changes often, and the finished work is beautiful. If you like a quick tempo and take pride in pixel-perfect execution, this is a strong fit.

This role starts as a holiday-season contract and is expected to transition into a backfill. A team member is retiring at the end of the year, and the client is actively hoping to convert a strong contractor to full-time.

What You'll Do

Design & Concepting

  • Design elevated, on-brand seasonal creative that fulfills brief requests for launches, promotions, and everything in between
  • Concept in a forward-thinking lens and build campaigns for upcoming seasons
  • Execute comps, ideas, and mockups for weekly and leadership presentations
  • Bring pitched concepts to life and help execute already-concepted campaigns under the direction of the Art Director

Production & Quality

  • Check live site and app creative to validate it was built as designed
  • Update creative to reflect the latest status in a fast-moving landscape
  • Ensure pixel-perfect production and delivery
  • Create files, folder structures, prototypes, and share links for final creative
  • Maintain Figma component libraries so they stay current with the design language and live site specs

Collaboration

  • Build relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners, and communicate clearly when there are questions or changes
  • Work directly with developers and designers, using web development standards and terminology comfortably
  • Use Chrome developer tools to pull CSS info and troubleshoot

Tools Used Day to Day

  • Workfront to ingest briefs
  • Figma for design and component libraries
  • Adobe Creative Suite on Mac
  • WordPress experience is a plus

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-4 years in a design role preferred (internship experience counts)
  • Fluency in Mac, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma
  • Deep working knowledge of Figma, including components, variants, and libraries
  • Strong creative production, organization, and design skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and absorb changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating playful, compelling animations and video for digital sites and platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred / Stands Out

  • Previous fashion, beauty, or retail design experience
  • Working knowledge of web development standards and how design translates to build
  • WordPress experience

How You Work

  • Self-motivated and independent: you look for ways to help rather than waiting to be told
  • Personable with a positive attitude, and you enjoy getting to know new people
  • Resourceful problem solver and quick, independent thinker
  • Kind, empathetic, and bring a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented
  • Excited to learn and looking for a long-term commitment with room to grow
