Job Description
Key Role Description The Machine Shop Supervisor is responsible for leading rotating equipment repair work that takes place in both the on-site machine shop and throughout the refinery operating units. This includes, but is not limited to pumps, turbines, motors, fans, and other related equipment. This role oversees union mechanics, contractors (both union and non-union), and other specialty vendors to ensure they successfully complete their tasks in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role is also responsible for supervising the tool room. The Machine Shop Supervisor works closely with the Maintenance Planning group and the Reliability Engineering department to create and execute repair plans on rotating equipment. Crafts supervised include millwrights, machinists, and tool room mechanics. The Machine Shop Supervisor assures all maintenance work complies with applicable safety, engineering, safe practice standards, laws, and regulations.
