Temple University's Charles Library is searching for a Part-Time Audiovisual Archives Assistant!

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Position Summary
The part-time Audiovisual Archives Assistant will provide preservation and cataloging/processing of film, audio, and other audiovisual materials in the SCRC. The position processes audiovisual materials, creates and updates archival finding aids and other access tools. Creates and implements audiovisual preservation workflows that adhere to archival standards. Provides access to physical and digital audiovisual material through researcher digitization requests, short and long-range digitization projects, and on-site visits by a wide range of users. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position will work in both the Charles Library and the Kardon Library Depository.

Job Details
* This position is 100% On-Site

Required Education and Experience
* B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college or university.
* At least one (1) year of experience in a museum, archive, or library setting.
* Experience with analog film formats.
* Experience with legacy audiovisual collections and playback equipment, creating and editing descriptive metadata and participating in digitization, and utilizing ArchivesSpace.
* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Experience with a variety of audiovisual formats.

* Effective interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
