Description
PURPOSE The Senior Final Assembly Technician function is to ensure the assembly of product is efficiently and effectively performed to product specifications with limited supervision. JOB DESCRIPTION ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assures that assembled products meet product specifications & quality standards * Follows Product Assembly procedures and guidelines for Product Assembly personnel * Assures that all data required by Production Planning is accurate * Verifies that shop packets have all necessary information completed and are delivered to the Product Test Manager in a timely manner * Assures that Serialized components are processed and labeled correctly * Assures that all elements of mechanical and electrical production are completed on a timely basis. * Provides information to Production Planning for the maintenance of product routings * Reports to manager any deficiencies in product assembly specifications that may effect product quality * Provides updates to Product Test Manager on all anticipated/potential issues that could delay product assembly timelines * Assists Quality Assurance and other personnel in verification of non-conforming parts, as needed and as time allows * Reports to management in documented form any perceived quality deficiencies related to any area of the organization * Maintains the general cleanliness of all work areas and assures that all work areas are orderly, secure and safe to work in. * Assure that all elements of mechanical and electrical production are completed on a timely basis. * Provides updates to Product Test Manager on all anticipated/potential deviations from production schedule * Provides updates to Product Test Manager on a continuing basis regarding all aspects of all projects including resource availability, scheduling conflicts etc. * Works with the Manufacturing Engineer on new products to help ensure smooth transitions of new products to Product Assembly * Provides communication and training as needed to all mechanical and electrical production team members PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * Two-year Technical Degree or equivalent work experience * Minimum four plus years in performing mechanical and/or electrical production; or equivalent documented skill set. * Navigation of PC operating systems * Knowledge of PC software products to maintain, troubleshoot and install new PC hardware * Experience in assembling and troubleshooting PC's * Assembling and troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical assemblies * Excellent hand-eye coordination * Detail orientated * Self-motivated * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently * Realistic scheduling and observance of deadlines * Ability to prioritize and work independently * This position requires standing for long periods of time, sitting and bending * Ability to be flexible and exhibit a positive attitude towards change and improvement ADDITIONAL NOTES Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
