Day & Zimmermann has a need for a Safety Professional in Juliette, GA.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Conduct field coaching and observations focused on safety standards, work practices, and behaviors.
- Perform trend analysis to identify drivers contributing to both positive and negative safety performance.
- Assist Site Management with outage planning and execution to ensure safety compliance and application of lessons learned.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify corrective actions and communicate lessons learned.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with regulatory, company, and client requirements.
- Manage all occupational injury and illness cases, regardless of severity, to ensure proper employee care and proactive management of outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between D&Z and client representatives regarding safety programs, case management, corrective actions, and safety performance.
- Provide technical safety guidance on topics including fall protection, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, lockout/tagout, equipment operations, hot work, and hazard recognition.
- Participate in client Corrective Action Program (CAP) activities as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, observations, and employee engagement.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations as demonstrated through education, certifications, or equivalent experience.
- Fundamental working knowledge of Human Performance (HU) principles and error prevention tools.
- Ability to research complex safety issues and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- Strong presentation, training, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze safety performance metrics, identify trends, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leadership, supervisors, and craft employees in support of a strong safety culture.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Minimum Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences, or a related field preferred. Relevant industrial safety experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of practical safety experience in power generation, industrial maintenance, construction, manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, or similar heavy industrial environments.
- OSHA 510, OSHA 511, equivalent safety training, or degree in safety-related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, STSC, or other recognized industry credentials are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and industrial work activities.
- Experience supporting maintenance, construction, operations, or outage projects within power generation facilities preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000 - $118,000.
This range is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other business considerations. Specific programs and benefits may vary based on date of hire, schedule type, assignment duration, and other applicable factors.
