The Marketing Database Manager serves as the firm's functional subject-matter expert and primary power user for the InterAction CRM platform, with particular emphasis on the InterAction Windows Client. This role manages the day-to-day functionality, configuration, data processes, reporting, and ongoing enhancement of InterAction and its connected tools, including the firm's email marketing platform. Working closely with Marketing, Business Development, IT, external vendors, and end users, the Manager troubleshoots complex system and data issues, supports effective CRM usage, and helps modernize the firm's marketing database capabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
CRM, AI, Data Management, Data Quality

  • Manage the InterAction Windows configuration settings and options including Folder Templates, Naming conventions, Folder Dependency Analyzer (FDA), Saved Searches, Data Change Management settings, Importing/Exporting and Web Profile configurations.

  • Ensure the database is segmented effectively for targeted marketing activities.

  • Understand Application Collaboration and CRM data owned by the HR information systems and billing systems in order to troubleshoot data-related errors.

  • Use InterAction Data Minder to offboard user accounts; troubleshoot user account sync cycles.

  • Support and manage essential housekeeping efforts to ensure data accuracy and quality and perform data clean up and maintenance.

  • Coordinate CRM activities and workflows with internal team members.

  • Manage utilization of external AI tool to improve data quality.

  • Regularly meet and work with IT and external vendors to manage upgrades, modifications or new features.

  • Monitor the evolving vendor and product landscape for future opportunities.

Email Marketing

  • US subject matter expert for firm's email marketing, coordinating with the global team.

  • Work with our global service center to ensure efficient processes. Develop instruction documents as needed.

  • Create and maintain the master email campaign templates, configurations, User accounts and any necessary web forms.

  • Create Vuture campaigns and mailing lists as needed; send event mailings, flagship campaign publications and legal updates as needed, including Holiday eCards on request.

  • Prepare monthly reports analyzing our open rates, workflow and other KPIs.

General

  • Assist with problem diagnosis and resolution support for InterAction and Vuture.

  • Collaborate with CRM managers throughout the Verein to standardize procedures and configurations.

  • Prepare InterAction Activity reports as needed for global client teams, leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on bespoke reporting needs, such as client event attendee costs.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience working with InterAction or similar CRM database.

  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 10 years of relevant experience working with InterAction or similar CRM database.

  • Advanced knowledge of InterAction or similar CRM database and Vuture.

  • Strong understanding of data management and stewardship.

  • At least 2 years of leadership and management experience preferred.

  • Experience in the legal industry or professional services industry highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

  • Ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
