Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology The Department of Psychology and Human Development in Peabody College at Vanderbilt University invites applications for two tenure-track positions as Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Vanderbilt spans two departments (the Department of Psychology and the Department of Psychology and Human Development), subscribes to the clinical science training model, and is PCSAS- and APA-accredited. We seek exceptional clinical scientists with demonstrated records of methodologically rigorous and conceptually strong research, clear potential to secure extramural funding, and a commitment to effective teaching and mentoring. We are particularly interested in clinical scientists who apply artificial intelligence (AI), computational, and/or advanced quantitative approaches to enhance the prediction, explanation, assessment, prevention, or treatment of psychopathology, particularly across development. Ideally, these scientists would foster collaborations with the College of Connected Computing. Applications could include using AI-related methods to enhance research methods, developing predictive models for risk and treatment response, and/or integrating AI into evidence-based interventions. Relevant approaches include those of AIs subfields, such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, speech and behavioral signal processing, digital phenotyping, passive sensing, advanced quantitative and computational modeling, personalized and technology-enabled interventions, among other innovative methods. Successful candidates will maintain active, externally funded research programs that apply innovative methods (e.g., quantitative, analytic, computational). We welcome applicants whose primary training is in clinical or developmental science with clinical applications. Responsibilities include leading an active, collaborative research program, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research mentoring, and contributing to departmental, college, and university service. The Department of Psychology and Human Development is home to highly collaborative faculty with strengths in developmental science, cognitive psychology, clinical psychological science, and quantitative methods. We maintain close connections with the Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Science, the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center.
