JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State College of Health and Human Development Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders University Park invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position teaching CSD 895A Speech/Language Clinical Practicum for the Fall 2026 Semester. The Part-Time Lecturer will teach a three-credit, graduate-level course that includes supervision of M.S. student clinicians in the Penn State Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic. Requirements: A master's degree or equivalent education and experience in a related field is required. Holding an active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required. Holdingan active license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in Pennsylvania from the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology is required. Holding current CPR certification is required. Meeting requirements for ASHA-certified Clinical Educators, Supervisors, and Clinical Fellowship Mentors is required. A minimum of three years of clinical practice is required. Previous experience in clinical supervision is required. The position is a one semester, non-tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time lecturers normally teach one section. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
