We are seeking a talented individual to join their team and play a pivotal role in showcasing their innovation and leadership.

Are you a visionary videographer with a passion for storytelling and a knack for technical precision? This is an exceptional opportunity to become the visual voice for a cutting-edge engineering facility. You will be instrumental in capturing the essence of innovation, from showcasing advanced technical product demonstrations to highlighting key executive messages and critical facility milestones. This role offers the unique chance to lead on-site video productions, delivering high-impact content that informs, inspires, and connects stakeholders across the organization. Your expertise and professional kit will be the cornerstone of bringing complex technical narratives to life, directly contributing to the company's communication strategy and brand presence.

About the Role

This freelance, contract opportunity is for a self-contained, turnkey videographer to support site-specific corporate video productions on an as-needed basis, approximately once per quarter, with immediate production needs. This role requires you to bring your own professional camera, audio, and lighting gear, leading on-site video production at the engineering facility. You will be responsible for capturing facility updates, technical product demonstrations, and executive storytelling, working in close collaboration with remote producers to ensure seamless execution and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Production Leadership: Lead video capture on location at the engineering facility, ensuring high production value for corporate and technical content.
  • Corporate Video Capture: Shoot a variety of corporate content, including:

    • Facility updates and engineering site milestones.

    • Technical product demonstrations and hardware deep dives.
    • Internal communications, training, and executive leadership messages.

  • Gear Operations & Quoting: Provide and operate your own professional production kit (camera body, cinema/video lenses, portable lighting, and wireless audio). Provide transparent project estimates for time and equipment.
  • Remote Collaboration: Work independently on set while liaising effectively with remote creative directors, producers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Basic Post-Production (Secondary): Handle basic editing, cuts, assembly, color correction, and audio balancing when post-production is requested for turnkey file delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Location & On-Site Availability: Based in or near the region, with the ability to work on-site at the engineering campus as production needs arise; local candidates only.
  • Corporate & B2B Track Record: Proven portfolio demonstrating clean, polished video production for corporate, B2B, or engineering environments.
  • Full-Stack Technical Expertise: Mastered skills in solo camera operation, multi-point lighting, and clean field audio recording for leadership and technical subjects.
  • Owner-Operator Equipment: Own a complete professional video kit (4K camera system, lenses, lighting kit, wireless lavs/shotgun mics, stabilization).
  • Professional Presence: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working alongside engineers, facility managers, and site leadership on set.

Nice-to-Have

  • Hands-on editing proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience shooting in active high-tech, industrial, or engineering/R&D environments.
  • Familiarity with corporate billing practices, including itemized quotes for time and kit fees.
