Description

Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) is seeking a results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support our Wisconsin sites as a trusted finance partner. Reporting to the Wisconsin Sites Controller, this role supports a portfolio of sites with combined annual revenue exceeding $200 million and provides financial analysis, reporting, and insights that help improve performance, operational execution, and decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst partners with site leadership and the Wisconsin Sites Controller to support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, productivity initiatives, and continuous improvement. The role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing finance, the ability to translate data into actionable insights, and a collaborative approach to working with operations and cross-functional teams. The position may be based at MEC's Milwaukee headquarters or at the Mayville or Fond du Lac facility.

Travel to supported Wisconsin sites is expected periodically, with an estimated travel requirement of 5%.

Job Responsibilities



  1. Conducts complex financial analysis and modeling to provide actionable information and prepares recommendations for policies, procedures, controls, or actions.
  2. Analyzes financial information to assess present financial performance and predict future financial performance. Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
  3. Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, operational productivity metrics and financial statements
  4. Directs preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, cash flow projections, and business forecasts.
  5. Partners with various company stakeholders to understand objectives and provide support through utilization of company data to drive informed decision making.
  6. Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
  7. Makes recommendations to operation management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
  8. Researches and prepares economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.
  9. Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.

Educational Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.



Experience Requirements




  • Five years' experience in accounting and/or finance.
