Position Title: CNC Machinist
Wage: $50,044.80-$75,067.20/year Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers. This position is ideal for someone with strong CNC turning experience, blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining close tolerances and quality standards. CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up, adjust, and operate NC/CNC lathes and machining centers - Perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and taper cuts - Read and work from blueprints, routings, and process sheets - Use precision measuring instruments to set up and inspect parts - Make machine and offset adjustments to maintain specifications and tolerances - Identify and report CNC program issues and make program adjustments when applicable - Set up tooling, fixtures, platens, and workpieces - Recommend tooling arrangements, fixtures, and machining sequences when needed - Assist with setups and help train less-experienced operators - Perform secondary machining or auxiliary operations as required CNC Machinist Requirements: - 2+ years of CNC turning experience - Strong knowledge of CNC machining and machine shop practices - Experience with Fanuc controls preferred - Strong blueprint-reading and shop-math skills - Experience using precision measuring equipment - Experience operating hoists and cranes - Large-diameter vertical lathe experience is a plus - Must have personal tools and be willing to purchase additional tools as needed - Ability to lift up to 38 pounds QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
