The Role

UST is searching for an experienced Ab Initio Architect to design and build end-to-end business and data integration solutions for a leading healthcare provider in the United States. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Ab Initio, ETL, Data Integration, and DB2, along with strong architecture, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

What You'll Do

* Architect and design scalable end-to-end data integration and ETL solutions using Ab Initio.

* Lead architecture and technical design discussions and provide direction to development teams.

* Create architecture documents, high-level designs, low-level designs, and other technical documentation.

* Provide hands-on Ab Initio development support when required.

* Design and implement ETL solutions in a DB2 environment.

* Lead teams through solution design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.

* Establish and enforce robust testing methodologies and quality standards.

* Perform performance tuning and optimization of Ab Initio applications and ETL processes.

* Collaborate with business, domain, architecture, and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

* Train and mentor team members on Ab Initio tools and emerging technologies.

* Present architecture, solution concepts, risks, and recommendations to senior-level management.

* Contribute effectively within an Agile delivery environment.

What You Need

* 10+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio.

* Broad expertise across the Ab Initio toolset, including Version 4.0 or later.

* Extensive experience in ETL, enterprise data integration, and data warehousing.

* Strong experience developing ETL solutions in a DB2 environment.

* Technical expertise in most Ab Initio products and components.

* Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and data modeling.

* Experience with Continuous Flows, web services, and testing automation.

* Experience with Control Center, MDH, BRE, DQA, TDM, and TF.

* Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

* Healthcare domain experience.

* Must Have

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

* Preferred

* Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

* Required Experience

* 10+ years of Ab Initio experience, including architecture and solution design responsibilities.

* Extensive experience creating technical and architectural design documents at multiple levels.

* Experience leading development teams and enforcing engineering and testing standards.

* Hands-on development experience with Ab Initio and DB2-based ETL solutions.

* Experience with healthcare data environments and large-scale integration initiatives.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote - US

Compensation Range: $161,000-$242,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
