Description
As a Corporate Compliance Consultant with American Family Insurance you will play a key role in advancing the organization's regulatory compliance program, with a strong focus on market conduct examinations, regulatory data calls, and industry surveys. In partnership with senior team members, you will help drive timely and accurate responses to regulatory requests by analyzing requirements, gathering and validating information, and ensuring submissions are complete, consistent, and well supported.

Beyond response coordination, you will identify emerging trends, contribute to remediation efforts, and collaborate across business areas to enhance compliance processes and strengthen organizational readiness. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career compliance professional with a solid foundation who is ready to build expertise and take increasing ownership of meaningful work.

You will report to the Director, Corporate Compliance.

Position Compensation Range:

$62,000.00 - $103,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support market conduct examinations from initial notice through final response, including coordinating requests, maintaining documentation, monitoring deadlines, and assisting with responses to regulator questions.
  • Coordinate regulatory data calls and surveys by reviewing requirements, identifying responsible business partners, gathering information, and preparing submissions.
  • Review data and narrative responses for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain organized examination, data call, and survey records, including request logs, supporting documentation, correspondence, and final submissions.
  • Communicate with business partners to clarify requests, resolve gaps, and keep assignments on schedule.
  • Identify potential compliance concerns, recurring themes, and process improvement opportunities, and escalate significant issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with corrective action plans and monitor assigned remediation activities through completion.
  • Prepare status updates, summaries, and reporting for compliance leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to procedures, job aids, templates, and other tools that promote consistent and efficient regulatory response practices.
  • Support other corporate compliance initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with regulators, writing responses, and developing action plans to address findings or risks.
  • Demonstrated experience investigating fraud or misconduct allegations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of insurance regulation, market conduct standards, or compliance management practices.
  • Relevant professional certification or interest in pursuing a compliance or insurance designation.

In this hybrid role you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month put of the Madison, WI or Boston, MA offices.
