The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing (Loyola Nursing) invites applications for a clinical-track faculty position serving as Director of the Family Nurse Practitioner ( FNP) with Emergency Specialty Track within the Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP) Program.
Guided by the missions, values, and strategic priorities of Loyola University Chicago and Loyola Nursing, the Director collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs, faculty, and academic leaders to advance student learning, professional role preparation, curriculum quality, and inclusive excellence within the FNP with Emergency Specialty Track.
This is a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. Rank will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and record of teaching, scholarship, and service.
The Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs. This is a 12-month administrative appointment, with 30% effort in administration and 70% in teaching, scholarship, and service. Faculty responsibilities follow a nine-month academic calendar.
The Track Director will lead the FNP with Emergency Specialty Track in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Clinical Programs and track faculty to strengthen curriculum quality, support student learning and progression, prepare graduates for practice, and evaluate track outcomes to guide continuous improvement
Faculty Responsibilities include:
* Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students according to their expertise and program needs, with primary teaching responsibilities in the DNP program.
* Use evidence-informed, inclusive, and learner-centered teaching and assessment practices.
* Collaborate with faculty and academic leaders to plan, improve, and evaluate courses and curricula.
* Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners across Loyola and beyond.
* Contribute service to the School, University, community, and nursing profession.
* Advance School and University priorities related to belonging and inclusive excellence.

* Current clinical practice as an FNP with Emergency Specialty, with an expectation to continue practice.
* A record of scholarship or demonstrated potential to develop and sustain scholarship appropriate to the candidate's career stage and proposed rank.
* Teaching experience with FNP-Emergency students preferred

* Current Illinois RN and APRN licensure, or eligibility for both

Additional Salary Information
This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. As FNP-ER Track Director, an administrative stipend will be added for a twelve-month service basis. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budgetavailability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
