Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer (Senior/Mid-Level) will provide mechanical engineering support involving design calculations, drawing and calculation checking, component specifications and vendor evaluation, and design reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Perform design calculations.
  • Review and check engineering drawings and calculations.
  • Develop component specifications.
  • Perform vendor evaluations.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Support mechanical design of process equipment.
  • Perform structural support and anchorage design.
  • Check and approve nuclear-quality design deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience with process equipment.
  • Experience with ASME B31.3 and ASME BPVC Section VIII.
  • Experience with structural support and anchorage design.
  • Checker/approver experience on nuclear-quality design deliverables.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with high-temperature systems (>1,000F) or liquid-metal systems.
  • Experience with hot cell / remote handling equipment.
  • Experience with seismic qualification
