Job Description

The Research Associate will support a sponsored research project focused on developing innovative technologies for the recovery of rare earth elements from mine wastes. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy, contribute to technology development, analyze experimental results, and assist with project deliverables, including technical reports and peer-reviewed publications.

Duties:

  • Design and conduct research related to rare earth element recovery from mine wastes
  • Develop and evaluate innovative extraction and processing technologies
  • Analyze research data and prepare technical reports
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present research results at professional conferences
  • Assist in achieving project milestones and sponsor deliverables
  • Collaborate with faculty investigators, students, and other research personnel
Qualifications

Ph.D. in Mineral Processing Engineering or similar field.
