| Preferred Qualifications |
Experience in higher education student services or academic program administration; familiarity with UGA systems, policies, and procedures; and experience supervising and developing professional staff. Experience coordinating work across academic units, improving administrative processes, and supporting student success is also preferred. |
| Position Summary |
Leads College-wide student services and academic program administration activities. Establishes and maintains consistent processes, service standards, communications, and student-facing practices across the College in partnership with program directors and coordinators, academic unit leadership, faculty, and central University offices.
Directs student services staff responsibilities and workflows, supports collaboration across units, and provides guidance and escalation support for complex student administrative matters. May also advise students in College-wide minor and certificate programs as needed.
Coordinates recruitment and retention support, prepares student communications, and the development and distribution of program information in partnership with academic programs and relevant College offices.
Plans major College-wide student activities and events, including orientations, student engagement activities, and graduation. |

- Knowledge of university rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of student services administration, academic advising, student records, registration, progression, retention, graduation, and student success practices.
- Ability to supervise and develop professional staff supporting multiple academic units, establish service expectations, manage workload and priorities, and address performance issues.
- Ability to coordinate work across departments, institutes, and academic programs and implement consistent student services and academic administrative processes.
- Ability to manage complex administrative processes requiring documentation, deadline tracking, coordination, and sustained follow-up across multiple offices and stakeholders.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills, including the ability to address complex or sensitive student matters and determine when escalation is appropriate.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and relevant University systems, including UGA student and financial systems, CAPA, eLearning Commons, and other systems used for student records, advising, reporting, and program administration. Familiarity with program management-management tools is preferred.
