Construction Site Safety Manager

Location: Rayville, LA
Schedule/Shift: Onsite, with overtime as needed
Pay: $90,000 to $120,000 annually
Position Type: Direct Hire

Job Summary

The Construction Site Safety Manager oversees site safety operations and provides leadership, training, and guidance to safety coordinators. This role supports incident case management, accurate OSHA recordkeeping, and consistent application of safety procedures. The manager serves as a resource for safety coordinators, including guidance on distinguishing OSHA recordable incidents from first aid cases. Overtime and occasional travel are required as needed.

Job Responsibilities




  • Oversee safety coordinators and support daily construction site safety operations.



  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to safety coordinators.



  • Support incident case management and review related documentation for accuracy and completeness.



  • Evaluate incidents to distinguish OSHA recordable cases from first aid cases.



  • Support accurate OSHA recordkeeping and consistent application of safety requirements.



  • Serve as a resource for safety coordinators on incident classification, case management, and safety practices.



  • Work with site leadership to address safety concerns and reinforce safe work practices.




Job Requirements




  • At least 5 years of safety experience.



  • Experience leading teams and providing safety training.



  • BCSP certification required.



  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 training required.



  • Knowledge of incident case management and OSHA recordkeeping.



  • Ability to distinguish OSHA recordable incidents from first aid cases.



  • Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance to safety coordinators.



  • Availability to work onsite, work overtime as needed, and travel occasionally.




Education




  • Candidates with a master's degree in occupational health and safety who meet all other requirements may be considered without BCSP certification, subject to approval.
