Job Summary

The Machine Operator I operates and performs basic maintenance on manufacturing machinery to support efficient production and consistent quality. The role includes machine setup, material loading, monitoring production output, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. The position also supports process improvement, safe work practices, and other production activities as needed.

Job Responsibilities



  • Operate assigned machinery according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
  • Operate basic machinery such as plasma tables, shears, and press brakes.
  • Monitor machine output to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and equipment issues.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep machinery operating properly.
  • Follow established safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures.
  • Communicate production issues and concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve production issues.
  • Support process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in other production areas as needed.


Job Requirements



  • Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate basic manufacturing machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
