Location:Groveport, OH
Schedule/Shift:Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Fabrication Associate supports a fast-paced industrial fabrication operation by setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting pipe fabrication equipment. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to quality and safety, and the ability to accurately interpret work orders, specifications, and measurements. The position involves operating industrial machinery, handling materials, performing routine equipment checks, and maintaining an organized fabrication environment. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, welding, machining, automotive or heavy equipment repair are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities



  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot pipe fabrication equipment.
  • Operate industrial machinery, including Landis pipe threading machines, band saws, roll groove machines, automatic welding systems, plasma cutting equipment, and pneumatic banding systems.
  • Interpret work orders, specifications, and cut lists to accurately fabricate customer orders.
  • Measure, inspect, and verify products using tape measures, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Calculate pipe lengths and ensure fabrication meets specifications.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks and material-handling equipment.
  • Move, stage, and organize pipe inventory throughout the fabrication facility and yard.
  • Perform machine adjustments, routine maintenance, and operational checks.
  • Follow OSHA, safety, and quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and contribute effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support fabrication and operational needs.


Job Requirements



  • 1-2 years of recent experience operating industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, and powered industrial trucks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Experience with fabrication, manufacturing, machining, maintenance, welding, or mechanical equipment.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience working with automated equipment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely handle and move materials.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.


Work Experience



  • Relevant experience may include industrial manufacturing, fabrication and machine operation, industrial maintenance, automotive or diesel repair, welding and metal fabrication, construction or agricultural equipment repair, or mechanical assembly and production operations.
  • Experience with pipe fabrication or fire sprinkler pipe fabrication is preferred.
  • Experience with welding, machining, plasma cutting, or metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Experience with industrial maintenance, automotive, diesel, agricultural, or heavy equipment repair is preferred.
  • Experience operating Landis threading machines, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting systems, automatic welding equipment, or pneumatic banding equipment is preferred.


Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)



  • Work is performed in an indoor industrial fabrication shop and pipe yard.
  • Facility is not climate-controlled and may experience seasonal temperature fluctuations.
  • Position requires a physically active work environment with material handling and equipment operation.
